In the closing seconds of regulation with BFA-Fairfax up two points, Milton’s Ryan Brown pulled down a rebound after a missed free-throw and went the distance of the floor and hit his shot to tie the game and force overtime.
In overtime, the Yellowjackets were able to hold on to come away with a 48-46 win in Friday’s boys’ basketball contest.
Brown paced the Yellowjackets with 22 points, while also adding seven rebounds. Seth Herrity and Ian Jennings had good games on the boards with seven rebounds apiece.
Nick Place led the Bullets with 11 points and Dylan Lumbra added 10.
The game was tight throughout with Fairfax holding on to a 22-21 advantage at the half and a 29-29 score at the end of three quarters.
The Yellowjackets improved to 2-1 on the season and will travel to Stowe on Dec. 19 for their next game. The Bullets fell to 0-1 to start the season and will travel to Richford on Tuesday.
