It seemed like it would be another tough game for the BFA-St. Albans boys’ basketball team on Wednesday after going down 10 points early in the second half.
The Bobwhites struggled to figure out the Middlebury zone defense, but things finally started to click in the second half.
Jens Ulrich-Verderber tallied 25 points for the Bobwhites with 19 of them coming in the second half.
With the Tigers starting to key on Verderber late in the second half, Brady Green picked things up, as he scored 17 second-half points to also come away with 25 on the game.
Will Harvey added 12 points, four rebounds and five steals. Danny Reyome had six assists in the game.
“I was pleased with the way we played in the second half,” said BFA coach Matt Toof. “We warned every one of the 46 points we scored in the third and fourth quarters.”
BFA improved to 1-1 on the season and travel to North Country on Tuesday for its next game.
