After starting the season 2-5, the BFA-St. Albans girls hockey team has been on a roll winning 11 of its last 12 games.
The one loss in that stretch was a 3-0 home loss against Rutland on January 21.
The Comets avenged that loss on Wednesday with a 2-0 road win over the Raiders to win their eighth game in a row.
Geogia Babb scored in the first period for BFA, which held the score at 1-0 until McKenna Remillard tucked away an empty netter late in the third period.
Freshman Madeleine Hungerford, who has been outstanding in net for the Comets this season, ended the game with 42 saves.
BFA improved to 13-6 in Division I and finishes the regular season with a home game against Middlebury on Saturday with the potential of jumped up to at least the No. 3 spot in the standings with a win depending how things shake up in other games in the division.
The Comets fell to the Tigers 5-2 way back on Dec. 13, but have been playing much better hockey in the last couple of months.
